Follow these simple instructions to make your own fabric doorstop (with handle) in your choice of fabrics.

I used to make these fabric doorstoppers and sell them on eBay and Etsy, and my nautical one was the winner. Now I've decided to share the pattern. If you would like to make one in exactly the same material, I have used Clark and Clark Maritime Sale Stripe and Beach Huts fabric. I'm also selling a couple of these doorstops separately on Etsy, so please look at my other items.

The door stop has a Velcro opening at the bottom, so you can empty it and wash it.

This pattern has been tried and tested by people that come to my sewing group.

Your finished item will 17 cm high (plus handle) by 14 cm x 14 cm (5.5 inches ). Please feel free to change the dimensions if you like. The instructions include measurements in both inches and centimetres.

You will need fabric, a couple of buttons, interfacing and a small piece of Velcro to make the doorstop. You will also need wadding and some clean gravel or rice to fill it. Exactly what you need is detailed in the instructions.
